Why don't they just get Bruce Timm to do the JL movie?? If Brad Bird can make the jump from animation to live action then so can he.

He's actually not at all. His main job is a director for 'Avengers 2' and a part time consultant on other properties. He STILL takes notes from the studio and does not have 'carte blanche' like Nolan did with Batman, Kevin Feige is the guy who's really in charge.
Franctallica: Some kind of monster.
Still one of Smith's better efforts. I know that isn't saying much.
No, he's the toxic little queen.
Excellent. Now all you have to do is keep on not seeing that movie forever ,towards till the end of your life.
I don't have a problem with the lens flares or the sci-fi punching. The first JJ trek had an INGENIOUS plot that simultaneously rebooted AND prequelised the franchise along with gripping action , a great villain and stunning visuals. I remember just being super energized after seeing that movie in theaters.
I went…
Have you seen' August: Osage county'??
It's like Trek'09 and 'into darkness' were made by two different groups of people.
Hiring Orci to do another trek is like hiring Schumacher back for another 'Batman' movie. Let's just hire the person all the fans hate the MOST in particular.
Cumberbatch has to be the most overexposed actor currently working today. I mean , he's great but needs to slow down a bit lest he become Ben Affleck circa 2000-2001.
There's no pleasing Batfans. Each of them have their own ideal version of Batman in their heads, since he's been reinterpreted so many times. What's most disturbing is that many of these people have an insane sense of entitlement towards whatever version they love and will turn borderline hostile if even provoked a…
Make fun of that line all you want but don't pretend that you weren't TOTALLY revved up in the theater when Batman was finally kicking Bane's ass.
Most people love it. They mock it out of love, not spite. I think it's adorable.
He makes 'flawed' movies for sure but certainly NOT shitty. And he's always incredibly ambitious.
A 'Sin City'-ish Batman would be awesome!! I hope whatever they're doing in this movie is a complete 180 from what Nolan or Burton did. Batman is a character that thrives on reinvention.
I really liked that. The reason why you feel so much for Bruce is because Nolan took his time to flesh him out as a three dimensional character throughout all three movies. What people criticize him for 'over explaining' is actually proper 'world building' in which Nolan sets up the world and it's characters. This is…
Yet four years later, those people would look back and say 'WTF were we thinking?'
I'm torn on 'Avatar'. I admired it for it's visuals in theaters but hate it for the nonsensical 3D wave that it began that sucked all the fun out of blockbuster filming. It really did 'change' cinema but for the worst though.
Try picking up Dark Souls sometime if you ever want that feeling again.
