I may be in the minority here but I consider 'The fighter' and 'Silver linings' to be his least effective films. Good, solid movies but nowhere near his mind-blowing stuff like Three Kings and Flirting with disaster.

I still have that scene with George making out with that pillow etched into my brain. What a comedic high that was!
Leto's "rock band" is awful and he seems like a smug, condescending prick but he's been good in quite a few movies.
I never 'got' her superstardom. Yes, she's great-looking,rich and glamorous but she exclusively makes terrible movies. Don't get all the hype.
Well Jonah Hill, Bradley Cooper and Mark Wahlberg have been nominated so there's that.
Totally agree. I believe that Prisoners is the film people will be talking about years from now when all the awards train dies down. It is so masterfully crafted and Denis Villeneuve's mastery of the tone is incredible and it is of great thematic value. Who knows that after years from now, I might put in up there with…
I'm still eager to see his take on the 'batvoice'. If anything it'll be even funnier than Christian Bale's version.
Don't worry .Mark Wahlberg will sacrifice his life preventing an Al-Qaeda invasion pretty soon.
Walker may have never made a 'Giant' or 'Rebel without a cause' but he will be remembered as a young soul gone too soon.
I wonder if Walkers' legacy would forever be seen as being connected to fast cars and thrill seeking. Seeing by the films he made. It's like James Dean's 'devil may care' persona that he actually was in real life and became immortalized by death. Though I don't think Walker was like that.
It's a truly 'one of a kind' movie. Love it or hate it, there's nothing else like it.
It's a tragedy that one can direct films like Red rock west,The last seduction, Rounders,Joy Ride and You kill me and STILL be underrated. Why dosen't he get much fanfare?? Is he press shy or what??
Oh god. I forgot about that . Such a thrill-ride until the lame, unsatisfying ending. Didn't JJ Abrams write/direct it or something?? My memory fails me.
Exactly, the tragedy is that he died SO YOUNG,not that he was a Hollywood actor. Cynical fucks can just shut their mouths. This could happen to any of us, anytime. My condolences to the Walker family. RIP.
Wasn't the 'other person' driving the car? It's probably his fucking fault that the car crashed.
My guess is that many people haven't seen 'Adaptation'. If they did, they wouldn't just consider Cage as an over the top clown and see what he really could do.
Can't wait till the opening of the new UFC MMA museum where Chris Nolan discusses which fighter inspired Bane's rockin' pecs.
I don't get it. YOU're not obsessed with Cage? in no way??
I enjoyed your post so much. I give it a 'Bee' plus.
The more Nicolas Cage ,the better. We all need him to brighten (and creepen) up our lives during these dire times.
