The marathon has most likely changed that

People who arent morons knows this isnt about Muslims, but terrorists.

I still dont get the "trying to be relevant" argument because people are hating the show for being current now but loved it for being current in the 90's

I figure the implication is that each episode has enough good moments to be enjoyable overall. I sure feel that way. I cant really comment on anything else because your argument seems to be that people who still like the show only like one or two moments a season, which is not really true, in my opinion.

Yep. If it had lower ratings it's bad and if it had higher ratings it's bad. The Simpsons fanbase is just a pain.

That's kind of silly. You go into shows knowing that you may not enjoy every episode. Even the worst episode ever cant make me un-enjoy episodes before or episodes in the future. And with a ratio of more good to bad this season, it definitely wouldnt make me feel all that worried. Bart's New Friend being a new episode

Yeah, I agree. I do actually wish the Flanders relationship gets a little better. But since episodes largely ignore one another I dunno if that'll happen.

The fanbase, yeah. Especially the shipping fanbase. Catering to those guys made me lose interest.

If a show can become worse over time, why cant it become better over time?

I think while many people have a specific kind of thing they find funny, I have a super broad sense of humour.

I enjoyed the episode. Didnt they say Chick moved in with them? I think maybe he's replaced Bobby so they'll have the same amount of regular characters.

Like how the main character left That 70's Show for Spiderman.

Sandwich episode though

I think they're doing that with the couch gags. A Rick and Morty gag is coming up actually.

On the Internet? What is this, 1995?

What episode was he from? I feel a bit bad that I never got angry at that cameo due to never seeing the original

What about Nelson?

I gotta say that I don't peice episodes to seasons until relatively recently, so that may also be a reason I don't have any opinions on overall seasons. I need to check which episodes I've seen are from where

The final good season jumps anywhere between 8 and 16. Then there's whether 15 to 20 is better than 20 to now, which is also debated in the fanbase

Yeah, that was ridiculous too and I couldn't stop thinking about it, even if I liked that episode too.
