Im guessing it's hard to do practical effects with rockets firing from a nuclear submarine

Fantastic taste, even if I rate 6 above 7.

Im assuming the franchise will end with 10.

Noticed the Mel thing. And chalk that first thing up to floating timeline. Like how a recent episode had the kids not recognize non-flat screen tvs.

I think you're too hard on the episode. While it doesnt compare to the original (my personal favourite of Season 4) it did have many great moments, many of which you mentioned. The plot wasnt bad (though the resolution could have been better) and it doesnt mess with the lore of the original or disrespect it too much.

But the reviewer and the commenters generally think the Simpsons is a good but inconsistent show nowadays. And definitely not comparable to FG.

literally what are you talking about

I agree with most of what you said, but if you were around for earlier reviews you'd see that plenty of people definitely wanted her to take over the show.

Like people mentioned in the premiere, the segments are just talking about how it feels, not commenting on anything on a whole.

"if you dont agree with me you're dumb"

I couldn't ignore how badly they wanted the Goose to be a Spider Pig

I've seen season 12 episodes worse than this.

Oh, I cant deny it jumped all over the place. But it did connected together well enough compared to say, New Kids on the Blecch or Mathlete's Feat which are about 20 different plots in one episode

The first thing I noticed was Homer acting worse than usual (for the time) to get the plot going and because of that I couldn't Identify with any of the emotion. I knew they wanted me to take the plot seriously but also laugh at exaggerated Homer jokes and it was too disconnected for me.

Well I never started getting invested in the show until The Squirt and the Whale and largely ignored until then, so I suppose I fall in that category if you're interested.

I liked Gone Abie Gone

Also, it's kind of weird that we got "The Simpsons are going to Cuba." so close to "The Simpsons are going to Boston."

I actually liked it. A lot of small moments that were entertaining. And they both ribbed on Cuba and complimented it in equal measures, which is always nice to see. The Bart was my favourite joke.

The Paris one last season was good. As was A Totally Fun Thing which was great.

I think a few BB songs are good. Work Hard or Die Trying and Electric Love were great.
