I think in s2, as she recovers from the beating and gets new teeth courtesy of Uncle Sam (and Piper), we will learn more about her backstory.

I think it is clear to him that she will be able to listen, so he should realize that others could hear it as well. He does not seem to have thought through (or cared about) the implications others hearing it, and certainly hasn't anticipated Piper promoting the show to others - much less the prison gossip machine /

I liked how Larry had to try *very* hard to shoehorn himself into a dialogue with Fake Ira. In terms of apportionining responsibility for the fallout from the interview, it's very difficult to suggest that he was just swept up into the show in some way… Fake Ira kept trying to talk to Piper's brother, and Larry had to

I don't doubt we'll find out more about his homophobia in s2.

Also, as a "pimp", she was using the same tried-and-true tricks that were used to "turn her out" on others down the road.

Either that, or the dialogue there was literal and Bennett thought he meant to help clear out some inmate funk. It's not always clear how stupid they are trying to make Bennett seem…

"a lot of the moral things he does[are] only to be for knocking Fig out of power, not to stop the drug smuggling."

The good/bad person classifcatory urge here reminds me of when Piper's brother nails Jason Biggs' character for his need to know "exactly" who Piper, or people in general are - in terms of sexual orientation, or otherwise.
