It WAS subpar. For Archer. By all other standards, it was great. It was still a lesser season of Archer.

It definitely seemed like they were running out of steam. And then you hear that the entire reason for them to shift the entire nature of the show is "Adam Reed got bored", which makes Season 4 make a whole lot more sense.
