I think that was a second/third draft kind of thing, Gilligan realized that it was way too dark for the show, and would make Walt completely irredeemable forever, which he thought was not the level of dark shit Walt should be getting into at that stage of the series.

He was going to pick up their heroin needles and inject her with a lot more, causing her to overdose.

Well, maybe 50 Cent.

Butthole.

I'm going to say every phrase I know!  Rectangle!  America!  Megaphone!  Monday!

Really?  Joe Lo Truglio has done bit parts in a lot of stuff to the point that he's fairly recognizable.  What the fuck have Todd Holoubek, Michael Patrick Jann, and Kevin Allison been up to, and yes I did have to Wikipedia The State to even see who they were?  I don't even know what they did IN The State.

Joel McHale was also completely the draw for me.  I remember I had to 'like' some NBC Facebook page so I could watch the pilot online before it aired.

Apatow has produced some of the greatest comedies of all time (The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Anchorman) and some of the worst ever (You Don't Mess With the Zohan, Year One).  It balances out.

SIMPSONS DID IT

It took 5 years, it damn well better.  I hope Homme didn't use up all his good songs trying to impress John Paul Jones, but I certainly wouldn't blame him if he did.

Spotify, my friends.  I pay the 10 bucks a month to keep it ad-free and unlimited, and I'd say I get access to at least 80% of the new stuff I want to listen to.  If it's not up there, I've got no qualms about hopping onto Amazon MP3 and picking it up.

Don't talk about Nathan Rabin like that.

Chris Brown still gets love from idiots.

I have not been able to get into Open Your Heart, but every song on Attack on Memory is a goddamn classic.  We are having a wonderful resurgence of bands that know how to kick ass, and fight against the ones that are drenched in reverb and are always described as sounding like 'the beach' or something.

Cloud Nothings, you music-dummies!  Blunderbuss needs to be the second coming of Elephant to even have a change of topping Attack on Memory.

Oh good, because how I really want Harry Knowles to give me my news is visually.  There's nothing I'd like more than to look at Harry Knowles for an extended period of time.

For the hydrotoil!

Patton Oswalt was guest-hosting one of Kevin Smith's podcasts (I KNOW, SHUT UP) this week and explicitly referred to something "his good friend Tom Scharpling" once told him.

That episode popped up in my feed and I immediately deleted it, sight unseen.

Don't do that.
