I don't mind some of the marinating, but the first half of this season was frustrating because none of the characters were interacting with each other. I don't mind the lack of big-ticket excitement, but I would like a little more connection earlier in the seasons between the storylines.

It'll just be Doyle and the cockroaches when Atlantic City falls into the ocean.

Glad it's working for you, @natty.

It'll be fine once notifications are back. I just missed the DS9 review yesterday. The old design for TV Club was terrible, I'm not debating that. I just want to know when you guys are reviewing certain shows—without WoT and notifications I basically haven't been following along.

It doesn't look too bad in 90%, but it's a bit small, yeah.

It's ok, I'm back, too. Apparently we both just needed to drink more in order to level out.

One might even say there's a direct relationship between the two. Er, for some people.

Now we know why they got rid of the notifications system!!!

Will it load imperceptibly faster and yet have decreased functionality?!! *Crosses fingers*

Has anybody demanded that they go back to the old look? Yes, this has happened? Sigh. I mostly miss knowing when the TV reviews are up, but I guess I'll just stop reading TV reviews for a while.

Americans—especially ones in the Bay Area, can be snotty, but there is a reason we're the self-anointed cultural arbiter. People tend to gravitate to what we like/create/produce. Which is not to say that there isn't room for other cultures in our milieu. Just, perhaps, not this particular show (and it seems to me

I'm still not believing that this show is almost over and yet it's spinning its wheels so hard. Ah, but I will miss the hilarious lines and the moral relativism. I want a spinoff series about Jess and Rudy.

I don't even want to look. Others have hinted that it was bad—I wouldn't have been there either way, I was wifi-less all day, but I would ordinarily have checked it when I got home in the evening. Not so much yesterday…

I don't like either one…then again, I loved Jamie!

Work hit the fan at the same time, which is okay—just stressful. In the past I would put in a quick comment or two even while busy, but the new formatting makes it harder to quickly read comments/figure out if people have replied to my comments, etc. It just takes a few extra minutes that I haven't had this week.

Oh, explain how to do this!

There was one chef —Andrea of S1—who claimed to be vegetarian, but when she came back in All Stars she claimed she WASN'T a vegetarian. Tres confusing.

This is usually about the time that a season gets good, and this episode didn't disappoint. I actually like it when good chefs go home, because it feels like the judges are weeding out the good chefs and keeping the excellent ones.

I think that's actually a well-known fact…

It's the kind of movie I'd prefer to get directly on DVD…
