I despised Martha too much by the time she left. I really wanted her to drown on that planet instead of bubbly fish-tank guy.

Yeah. But I'm still pissed off about the abandoned Danny storyline more than anything else. I get that his death made her careless, and that's great. Plus his moment in Last Christmas was absolutely heartbreaking. But what about the time traveling descendant??! Why bother doing that, if you're just going to kill him

Maybe we'll get that with this new companion in the spring. I agree all of the departures have been bothersome. Hopefully they've decided the "incredible exits" have been peaked with Clara, and can do something a bit more reasonable.

I haven't seen the classic series yet (I will be soon), but that was the same craving I got.

Same. Suffering for those billions of years was a penance that the Doctor needed to pay. Not just for Clara, but to earn his way back to the Time Lords as well after nearly annihilating them. I loved it.

It's a shame, but completely understandable. Impossible Girl was a hot mess. Normal Clara is far, far better.

The worst companion (Through no fault of Freema's) gets one of the best exits. While the best companion (Donna) gets one of the worst.

I think Clara 1.0 did a ton of damage to the likeability of her character. I think if you judge her from Day of the Doctor onwards, her development is far better. She's a great fit for Capaldi as well, especially compared to Smith.

Capaldi is my favorite doctor of NuWho, by far. He feels so much more alien compared to just being the lovable goofball type.

Perfectly summarized for me. Well said.

Out of curiosity, how many episodes are missing at this point? I'm about to start watching all of the original series, as soon as I can get my hands on it.

I think it fell together amazingly well and definitely agree that having a War Doctor really fits (Though that might be a bit of a "duh" statement, since that's how they wrote it). At least they brought the Eighth Doctor back for the mini-episode to show his transition. It was a nice way to acknowledge his role as

Geez, me. Tell us how you really feel.

As someone who had no prior experience of DW before the reboot, I never really cared for Eccleston's doctor. I've definitely come to appreciate it far more, now that the Time Lord story has come full circle in the 50th anniversary, but some of those first few episodes are just so atrociously bad (I'm looking at you,

And yet Children's Hospital remains lost in the void. Someone let me know when I can finally stream it.

I got a survey from them a month or so ago, asking what I thought of some potential new options. And they were all horrifying. It was like "Beef short ribs stuffed with macoroni and cheese all thrown into a refried bean burrito which is then battered and deep fried and 12 scoops of ice cream on top." Okay, yeah, a

That's why I started going on Sunday Brunch only — the menu for 6 hours a week is significantly shortened, and I found the quality to go up quite a bit. That was long before this new abomination was offered though. Now I kind of want to go back just to see how disgusting it is. But then I'd waste a good brunch day

And the entire movie is just going to be black. Nothing but black.

Approximately 2.5 extremelys.

Space Mutiny will always be my favorite… I think I may go rewatch it now.
