Hu Flungpoo, author of the best-seller Brown Spots on the Wall.

Thank you for bringing the origins of the term to my attention as I was not aware of the article. This is the only site that I regularly comment on because it is largely populated by the informed and the amicable.

This is just a cheap attempt to make amends for robbing Jackie of the 1984 best actor Oscar for Wheels on Meals. You're a thief, F. Murray Abraham! A goddam thief!

Thanks for sharing that. It seems to me there is a disconnect between common usage of the term "white privilege" which invokes the economic advantages of upper middle class white people with postgraduate degrees as if they represent a monolithic white American experience (i.e. the part that bothers me because it

Very few of them I'd wager. That doesn't make them "privileged." A kid born to hedge fund managers in Greenwich Connecticut is privileged. A kid born to a postal worker in Red Bank New Jersey is not. Class exists as well as race despite the American aversion to recognizing as much.

Yeah, not sure how much "white privilege" benefits working class guys from New Jersey stuck in dead end jobs. Those characters from Springsteen songs really have it made don't they? Born with silver spoons the whole lot of them.

Well, at least Sam didn't really write anything but simply linked to a Buzzfeed article. That's the up side if you like Sam. That's the down side if you like this site and what it is becoming. Links. To. Buzz. Feed.
That the same family of sites contains both the present-day AV Club and Clickbait is putting the

Ellie Kemper would be perfect. Anna Kendrick would be acceptable. Thank the Lawd none of you goofballs have said "Oh, 'Barb' from Stranger Things has expressed interest in the role…"

"Now Johnny, I'd never discourage you from following your own muse. But if I had it do all over again I'd probably go with a page-boy wig, some pancake makeup, and a Michael Jackson impression."

Also, Krush Groove and Disorderlies are better than any movie Will Smith ever made.

Yeah, "assassin" is kind of an odd way to put it. He was a deranged fatso with a pistol who killed a famous person, not Shinobi.

Don't give 2016 any ideas with your jinxey talk dammit!

Andrew Jackson was an evil man to be sure but what really gets my goat is him taking all the credit for the battle of New Orleans which was really won by Jean Lafitte and his merry band of pirates!

He's throwing "sumo salt" in the eyes of Saint Peter as we speak.

Nightcrawler is both my favorite character and the worst offender. Always calling the ladies "fraulein" and "leibchen" and whatnot.

Even as a kid I thought the "Kentuckian" and "Scottish" accents in the comic were pretty goofy.

That too. Useless for fighting supervillains one on one, sure, but very practical for everyday life.

Between this and a new De La album I feel like contemporary pop culture is finally catching up with my Junior High tastes.

You joke, but his was the superpower I was always most jealous of. I'd rather be able to go into a Vietnamese restaurant and order my Pho in perfect Ho Chi Min City dialect than turn into a werewolf or a solar powered Hulk Jr.

As an old man who grew up with Native Tongues posse records I'm giddy with anticipation.
