Problem with "Shrooming" is that it's probably the most poop-centric of all the episodes. I can see it turning off a lot of potential fans.

So what exactly did Trudy mean by not being a failure? That getting divorced was being a failure? If so, then how is being married to a man who is never to be seen, banished 50 miles away not a failure? I was born in 1966, and my parents were divorced by 1978, and I don't think having a mom who was still "married"…
Wasn't the M2 also the 50 caliber machine gun the groom was talking to Don about at the bar? What's the connection there, or is Weiner just throwing out as much imagery and references as possible and seeing what sticks?
Is this going to be based just on the boardgame? Because I think there's ratings gold in using the XBox's "look at my erect cock" implementation as a starting point.
Albert Brooks birthname is Albert Einstein. Does that count.
46 here, and I'm on the record here & elsewhere of positing that almost all the hate for the show is coming from 20-somethings. You need a little distance, either chronologically, or from a self-examination standpoint, to appreciate what Dunham is doing in the show. It "realistic" but it's also expressionistic.…
Was the guy driving the truck Allan Havey? It sure looked like it, but I can find no confirmation.
If your suit is uncomfortable, you're wearing the wrong suits.
And yes, I know even Westerosi men don't wear pants as such.
Ants in your pants.
I think every episode is on youtube.
I've never thought of Peep Show as cringe comedy. I almost never cringe at anything they do, but I laugh heartily. Great guffaws, in fact.
Really, I don't think too many Americans would have any trouble parsing it - the context makes it completely obvious, and even without it, you only have to understand that brown bread = not white (whole wheat, pumpernickle, whatever) and pudding = dessert.
This was the first episode that I didn't really enjoy, and I put almost all the blame on Charlie's success story. It's irrational, and it shouldn't matter, but the conditions of his wealth (as well as his preposterous company staffed entirely by either attractive or quirky 25-28 year olds) just seemed so utterly…
It wasn't Brokaw - that's super easy, everyone does Brokaw. It was someone generic like Charles Gibson (but not an anchor).

Killam's a master of the 4-second impression. A few weeks ago, just him sitting in bed as early-Sean Connery James Bond had me cracking up. His ability to capture body language is just uncanny.

Actually, this season has had fewer singing host monologues than the last two seasons. I think last year every single host sang; this year there have been two non-singers so far (Louis CK and one I forget).
