Well, yeah, from an objective, real-world standpoint, it's absurd that a sergeant tortured for years would be catapulted to VP - but I think the show already made us swallow that pill near the beginning of the first season.  The way that Brody was just cut loose after his return and allowed all kinds of access based

I'm with you, sort of.  Okay, it is a huge coincidence - how much tragedy can we pile onto Brody - but the show's full of huge coincidences and absurdities that, in my opinion, put this one into perspective.

I kept hearing it as "Favors", which made the first two or three times it was mentioned super confusing.  In general, the audio on this show seems muddier than it has to be, and everyone talks with that "dramatic gravelly whisper" half the time - sentences come out like, "I'm going to <mmph> some favors".  Us:  "What

I agree that the plot, if not full of holes, has so many coincidences or illogical actions on the part of supposedly competent players, that it strains credulity.

What the hell is the "four-waller era".  Google tells me nothing.  Has it something to do with the country song "Four Walls"?  But that was in 1957 - quite an "era" if it lasted until Boggy Creek's 1972.

I guess I have sort of the opposite problem.  My mom was a relatively "cool mom" in that she didn't get uptight about stuff, which made our house popular with my friends, but it wouldn't be unfair to say that she was something like Glenn Close's character in "The World According to Garp", only with a sense of humor

Acutally, it does, according the Merriam Webster Medical Dictionary ( http://www.merriam-webster…. ).  Oddly enough, the regular MW dictionary only lists the pronunciation that rhymes with "shitter kiss".

I didn't have a problem with him getting the phone into the war room, but as a layman, it strikes me as absurd to think that cell phones would actually work inside the Pentagon.  I can't even get reception inside our grocery story.  To get a phone to work in that room would require effort on the Pentagon's part to
