@TMSP usually it's "What's all this here, then?" You can also go with Jack Warner's classic "Evenin' all." If you combine the two the criminal classes of London will scream in terror and do a bunk. Or enquire of you as to which animal has a cunt on its back and then scarper.

Sorry Lack Of Name, but it's purely a placebo. You could always try setting light to it, it'll be quicker and probably less painful.

That's hardly a stealth firstie, is it? Douse yourself in Wonderstruck.

But
how much does it cost? We demand to know.

Who's this Australian director Tony Scott I'm hearing so much about? Doesn't he realise how confusing it'll be having the same name as an established English director? Still, I wish him luck in all his future endeavours. Good on ya Tony, yer big gallah!

I wondered
if the title was at all in reference to the John Wayne movie, which really could have done with a man sticking his head in a hedge at some point.

Cheerful…happy…comedy[!]…Sandler's…voice over work is…best. Compelling[!]

Across 110th Street was dissected by Greil Marcus in The Dustbin Of History. And I don't think Kelly's Heroes could be classed as obscure/semi-obscure, it's just brilliant, the Three Kings of its day. If there's a write-up of a war movie something like The Purple Plain or Castle Keep would be more interesting choices.

Could you make your point within the boundaries of a single paragraph one day? Thought not. Bell-end.

Thanks, That Guy! You've cleared up a problem that clouded my mind for years,

I'll give a shout out for Lou Rawls, Levi Stubbs and Joe Tex. And @Dwigt, I don't believe I've read Nick Horny's About A Boy. Or would wish to.

The Doc Savage movie ends with one of those "The End. But Doc Savage will return!" moments like they used to have in the Bond films. I waited for years to see the next instalment. Bastards! After having seen about 10 minutes a couple of years ago I'm quite pleased there wasn't another one made.

It should be about Jasper Maskelyne
but it won't be. It'll be some U-571 rewrite of history.

You know who'd make great villains? Anyone who's ever invaded another country. Now be good boys and give Texas back to the Mexicans.

Rutger Hauer
plays a corpse with offhand charm?

But the whole point of the article was to look at his entire output, not just the Super Fly soundtrack.

She does seem to be the Barbara Payton of our times.

Wow, that was my 1000th comment. I'm off for a celebratory drink.

I agree it's a really good film. Ayoade has said he was heavily influenced by the French New Wave. I can't imagine this film existing without Zazie Dans Le Metro. Comparing it to Anderson just seems lazy and obvious.

It sounds like the plot of an '80's tv movie starring Brolin and Seymour.
A Serbian Film 2: Daddy's Little Girl!
