One of my favorite headphone moments on the album is in "Super Rich Kids." Right after he sings "She wash my back three times a day," there's a faint sample of Jimmie Walker as J.J. Evans from Good Times saying "Dy-no-mite!" The sample calls back to the two previous lines where he sings "New watch good times, babe.

This is the first Nas album in fuck long where I didn't feel the strong urge to skip songs or skip listening to the whole damn thing altogether. I thought maybe I had hallucinated its listenability but, no, it's actually good.

Well said. I've found the reductive interpretations of his letter and his motivations for its release really offensive. These folks completely disregard the agency Frank Ocean has over his story and his process. That's not an easy thing to maintain control of in this day and age. Frank Ocean didn't wait for us to ask

@KGB: When in actuality @digthatfunk:disqus is so adorably dorkin' out over this album that I couldn't help but find his appreciation of my related ramblings endearing.

Awwwwww…you.

Awwwwww…you.

I'm getting you on all of this, though I'd qualify it a bit further by saying that "Pink Matter" is made weaker by its ill-placement between "Bad Religion" and Forrest Gump."

Ok, I'll say it…the new xx song is snoresville.

I'm pretending not to notice that Frank Ocean's channel ORANGE hasn't been reviewed by AV Club yet because whoever got the gig is completely enthralled by the album and wants to give it a thoroughly detailed review befitting its depth. Otherwise, I'm annoyed as fuck.
