Yeah, I'm a fan of all the Kailyn segments, mostly (depressingly) for the fact that she seems to have the most beyond her circumstance/fucked up situation — the mostly absentee mother, and Jo's parents, while commendable for putting her up, don't seem to really have a good handle on this situation or, apparently,

I would read the shit out of a weekly Teen Mom review. That show is dying to be unpacked. Jenelle's toxic relationship with her mother, Kailyn's pretty tragic family situation and scowling cipher of a babydaddy (seriously, why are you such a dick Jo), Leah and Corey's disarming maturity, and Chelsea's completely

this
album is great, and was recorded in the amazing abandoned train station by my old house in Detroit. That is all.

what
I appreciate about this show:

Which I am obviously remembering happening in 1989, because I remember everything from when I was an infant.

Did "Green" come out in '89? I remember seeing the video for "Stand" about one billion times on PBS inbetween "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?" and "Square One."

And if I can cheat and bleed over a little bit into 1990, Paul Simon's "The Rhythm of the Saints" and They Might Be Giants' "Flood." Yes, the groundwork was truly laid for me to grow up to be an incredibly white person.

uhhh as a fellow '89er I have to represent:

Co-signed as an '89-er who is a big fan of "context"

I liked this movie when it was called Sim0ne.

i hate them!
I hate those meesters to peesters!

Co-sign #3.

Nicholson's latter-day sleepy, sleazy charm is so fucking perfect for his role in this film. He probably has like fifteen cumulative minutes of screen time but you know he is THE FUCKING DEVIL.

@MaryProvost, don't you mean "What about the movie Casual Sex??"

Hollywood seems to think this is the first time a woman has enjoyed casual sex.

Yep
I did not "get" the Dolores thing until about twenty minutes ago.

I'm a man, but solid Thompson Twins scholarship does a lot to swing me the other way.

My dream
Has always been to get an audition on this show, and sing "In The Name Of Love" by the Thompson Twins.

Fun fact
Curtis "Booger" Armstrong is the world's foremost expert on Nilsson and wrote the liner notes for his most recent reissues.
