In fact, EYES WITHOUT A FACE was originally released in America under the title THE HORROR CHAMBER OF DOCTOR FAUSTUS. (honest!)

"Greatest" is a big claim, but HENRY is definitely top-rank.(and I generally DESPISE serial killer movies, so take that as high praise).
Good to see another fan of FLESH AND THE FIENDS.
". Belloq knew what he was doing, and it didn't help."
Interestingly, Baldwin is on record as have picked THE SHADOW over a number of other projects because he liked the script, feeling it was "witty".
Of course, it may well HAVE been, before they started actually filming it. Hollywood is like that.
The original Pulp stories were much cooler than the radio show; Print Shadow had a pair of big ass guns and used them A LOT.
(Of course, everyone's FAVOURITE version of the Shadow was the comics drawn by Mike Kaluta in the 1970s. Atmospheric as hell, with titles like "Death Is Bliss!").
Actually, in a good Batman story, the focus is on another character - but that character's struggles are a pretty obvious mirror of some aspect of Batman's own psyche. When a bad guy falls, it's an echo of what wrong path he fights to avoid going down; when an ally overcomes their own struggle, it echoes his…
He also did the character on his short-lived prime-time sketch show, which was a ratings disaster… but introduced most of the characters he had big success with when he became an SNL regular.
FUN FACT: Dexter was also Lars Ulrich's godfather!
Crystal's "old jazzman" impersonation is of Dexter Gordon; if you want to compare it to the real thing, check out Dexter in the film ROUND MIDNIGHT.
It's only mentioned in passing in the article, but the first season of DYNASTY really DID try for relevance. The show also featured a more working class family, whose money struggles contrasted with the Carrington's; and the gay son's homosexuality (and Blake's homophobia) were dealt with more seriously.
I bring this…
Robert Durant? Hey, if that's a double-leveled meta-reference to Benny from L.A. LAW, then I SALUTE YOU, SIR.
And even if it ISN'T- aaaaaah yeh DARKMAN FANBOYS IN DA HOUSE!!!
You know, I was really hoping today would be anything BUT "Serenity".
I LOVE "Firefly", but I hate predictability.
Animated Riddick was designed and directed by the guy who did the original Aeon Flux cartoons; it's pretty badass. Wish it had done better; maybe we would have gotten more.
Yes, he has clearly had MANY sexings, both by himself and with the aid of others.
You can certainly afford it: http://www.amazon.com/Crime…
Be fair; CRIME STORY should go first.
But yeah, BOTH of them, please?
One
of the writers who dragged sci-fi into adulthood. (Pohl was editor of
GALAXY when a major skirmish broke out over an ad in the magazine in
which a group of prominent science fiction writers signed a petition
objecting to American involvement in the Vietnam War; his diplomatic
skills REALLY got a work-out…..)
Well, the two shows share a few similarities… and a few writers and performers.
(fwiw, WISEGUY really should have brought back Tony Denison when Ken Wahl left for good. The fans had ALREADY accepted him as a potential replacement for Vinnie.)
Including the FULL second season? the whole music industry arc with Tim Curry has been impossible to get because of music rights problems.
