The D&D episodes have never done much for me. This is probably my favorite of the bunch, which is to say that I merely semi-liked it.

The Americans will likely end its second season being one of the very best shows of the year. However, it's still frustrating me. It's a good, not quite great, human drama. But as a thriller it remains rather procedural. It seemed as if there was gonna be a nice change-up after its premiere, but it's returned to the

It was a lil' unfocused, and by the time it was released we'd already heard at least half of the songs. But it was still one of my top twenty favorite efforts of last year.

I will forever and a day defend MIA's music. I know she's no longer "cool". But those first two albums of hers are still great listens.

Actually, the mediocre streak began right after "Hitting the Fan". "The Decision Tree" was solid if a bit forced. I thought this past Sunday's episode was a nice step up however.

This was a cute effort. My expectations were low enough to just be able to enjoy what was in front of me. The mystery and execution of that mystery was meh. It's far too dependent on the Logan-Veronica romance, which I never cared about. There are also too many "Let's catch everyone up on this character" scenes. There

Jones is a limited, very limited actress. Her performance worked brilliantly in the first two seasons, but as the character changed and the writing for the character became more spotty Jones' abilities became more apparent. It's also obvious in her film work. However, she still has some great moments here and there,

I like "The Phantom". It just doesn't feel like a finale.

Such a lovely episode. Probably the most heartbreaking of the series. The show could have ended right here and it would probably be the best miniseries ever. The Sopranos, Homicide and maybe Friday Night Lights are the only dramas that had debut seasons equal to this one. As I've said on many occasions the first

Eight seasons is borderline forever.

I've always accepted the show as a story about two tortured men above anything else. Nonetheless, this is a series not a two hour movie where characterization, style and suspense alone can make it substantial. This type of extended yet lean mystery needs more. If the case became something more than just a chance for

I like having The Good Wife back as well (damn football and the Olympics) but it has to step of its game. Its past six-eight episodes have been mediocre to fair. This still has the potential of being the show's best season, but they have to get the gears churning again.

Hannibal (the film) is so much worse than Red Dragon.

That's really just an inevitable set-up for the final episodes. By season six Don had become an almost caricature of himself. Hamm's performance was its most committed and impressive in seasons two and three. Don hasn't been an interesting character to me for quite a while, but the show continues place him at its

This is still overall the best episode of the series. It’s an important
turning point that happens to be structurally brilliant and both intimate yet ambitious. There are also so many great individual moments.

Even on a curve this episode wasn't C worthy. The punishment is too extreme for an installment that merely doesn't deliver rather than being legitimately bad. Still, it's refreshing that not every installment gets thrown A and A-'s ala Breaking Bad. It was a lacking episode. The silliest and most structurally messy

Homeland can be wacky and sometimes self-righteous, but I don't recall any "America The Great" speeches. Then again, I only sporadically watched the third season.

Not every episode has to be a classic. It seems like every other episode of Community gets either overrated or underrated. This was cute. It didn't match "Mixology Certification", but there was good characterization and a few nice laughs. It was cute. Nothing more than that though.

I don't think HoC qualities as "good". This season of Justified has been passable, but it's a disappointment in comparison to the previous season. But yes, on True Detective. Looking forward to this and The Americans, two shows I appreciated but had some real problems with in their debut seasons. I have a feeling both

I agree that there were some missed opportunities in season three. It had the potential of being the show's best, but there were a few really clunky and contrived episodes that storyline-wise could have been great but were executed too self-consciously (I'm thinking specifically of "The Grown Ups", "The Fog" and "Wee
