At theend of the day I just didn't find the episode funny, but it was nice to see them used Garrett more. I'm using this episode came along for the sake of giving him more to do. He's been on the back burner all 2012.

Poor Winston. I was hoping his bell ringing skills would be a running storyline.

A gay couple asking their girl friend for baby help is already a stale sitcom conceit. Going to a gay club and discovering that the gays are fun was an old sitcom trope even in the 90's. Just come up with something either subversive or honest or don't even bother. I was hoping this would become a parody of The New…

Ugh Raising Hope. I thought you were cleverer and more knowing than this. This was almost as preachy as any random Ryan Murphy offering. Then there were the bevy of beyond dated gay jokes and insights. But damn Garret is one yummy man. The Jimmy and Burt sex fantasy is more vivid in my head than ever.

Claire Danes is indeed having one of the greatest TV seasons ever. In the female sphere it reminds me of Lauren Graham's first season of Gilmore Girls. Or Amy Poehler's third season of P&R.

The Dana subplot worries me, but I don't think it's fair to say that the writers are just trying to give her something to do. It'll clearly play into the main plot. The question is how and will it work?
