A Golden Globe. Not an Emmy. She didn't even get nominated the year she won the Globe.

And with the exception of a few very good episodes, Girls' first season wasn't anything special either. Though most of it was far and away ahead of what we've seen from this series thus far. Don't worry. Shows with guys can be sh*t too.

This may be the right move. Season three didn't have the ambition as season two. More time to sort out ideas might be best.

Could be. I will admit that tuned out by the third act.

The most underrated show on TV, along with Cougar Town, but at least that show gets some respect from AV Club critics. This episode was a bit much but still hilarious. The first act was dry then it kicked into gear. This series has been zanier than this, and typically falls flat when it goes too over the top. I

I've been over this show for a while, and this at once silly and dull episode didn't convince me to start watching again. But it was great to get a view of Walton Goggin's ass. I've been hoping Justified would put Goggins and Olyphant's asses on display. So, thanks for that SOA. Bye now.

Emmys have always avoided this show, even when Sagal had a ton of buzz. I doubt they'll go for Goggins. Though you never know with this type of stunt casting. They might bite.

The self-referential jokes have already become tiresome, and the lead character just isn't very funny or charming or interesting. She's still a pretty flat "single working girl looking for love" archetype. This show isn't edgy or insightful enough to go for that type of satire

Will I ever be able to read a comment section without people bringing up Breaking Bad?

Very true habeasdorkus. Also, we still don't know if he's being set-up as a possible VP or if the current VP is just using Brody's hero status.

If anything, people are more critical because of those Emmy wins. Ultimately, the show is still so fasinating and thrilling and sometimes heartbreaking that most are willing to forgive the plot tics in the first couple of episodes. And I'm over being worried about the show jumping the shark. I spent all last season
