How about an over/under on his first day to not being present for a show?

He would really have loved this, I'm certain.

Franco misses nothing. When you always hold a hand mirror in front of yourself, you see the things behind you too.

Damn nytimes -an incredible institution despite its flaws- I really wish they hadn't published this. It could have found a home elsewhere. Good to see readers didn't turn it into the most emailed piece, so far at least.

Eva Marie Saint: I never make love on an empty stomach.
ArchieLeech, to self: This boner is going to break through the skin.

Just want to throw in that I've really enjoyed The Best Show over the years; it's given me a lot of pleasure and I've even taken some comfort in listening to it, esp while on the road. Looking forward to what Scharpling and/or Scharpling & Wooster do next.

Best Show gems are, for the most part, the Scharpling and Wooster bits. If you don't find these entertaining then I'm not sure the rest of the show would be your thing. http://wfmu.org/podcast/BD.xml
