Well that was disappointing. Not bad, but disappointing.

I've heard the Cath theory as well but that would be horrible and undermine the good work they've done in treating the subject of rape so carefully. Plus it wouldn't explain the other two attacks, so I'd be amazed and incredibly disappointed if they did go down that road.

I'm with you on the Higson and Henry front,

I wouldn't say Joan was psychotic, but rather flooded with insecurities, but I do agree with you that Bette comes across far more sympathetically and I'm surprised the reviewer is so fond of Joan given how the series has portrayed her.

I think you're being a tad optimistic there, but I hope you're right.

And Angie Tribeca. I really liked the first series a lot, thought the second was very patchy, but the first episode of the third was really enjoyable so I hope this year will be a return to form.

I guess I'm just really surprised at the disparity of opinion, and as some might avoid the series review due to fear of spoilers (I know I have done so in the past) I posted it here as well. It's out of frustration as well, as I really wanted to like the series, but felt it fell short. Despite all this I enjoy

Yeah, I just watched it tonight and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere and tone they create keeps you on edge throughout, and the ending was a satisfying one.

Oddly enough I've just discovered that a friend is facebook friends with Shearsmith, and replied to a "What do you think the Doctor has in the vault?" post with "The next incarnation, which is slowly gestating in an egg." I'm pretty sure he's joking, but you never know with Moffat, so he might be right too!

The general rule is that he can't interfere with his own time line, but he can definitely be in the same location at the same time (as in Father's Day, for instance) as long as nothing is changed.

That's very true but Rose (and most of the new series companions) met the Doctor when a huge amount of craziness was going on, whereas Bill first encountered him as a respected university professor.

Apologies for the repost from the Class series review but I'm not sure many saw it as I replied about 24 hours after the review went up, and I'm so frustrated with this series I can't help but rant again.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked by this review, I genuinely can't understand why it's so positive when it was such a horrendously flawed series. Being a huge Who fan I wanted to like it a great deal, and the first episode isn't too bad, and the fourth is okay, but most of the time it sinks in to misery and bleakness and it

That happened with my grandparents on my father's side. In 1991 my grandmother died quite suddenly and my grandfather was absolutely lost without her, and died of natural causes six months afterwards.

I know a lot of musical parodies of tv shows are pretty dodgy but about seven years ago I saw "The A-Team - The Musical" in a tiny room above a pub in London and it was superb, all of the songs were very very funny and despite the budget for the production clearly being about twenty pounds it was a really charming

I wanted to like it so much and there are some episodes which are okay, but it's just so bloody bleak that I got really frustrated with it. It was pretty wildly panned in the UK and wasn't a big success either online or when it eventually got shown on BBC1, so I imagine it'll all depend on how you guys react to it as

Along with the Who spin-off Class! Which is pretty awful stuff! The pilot's not too bad and there are a couple of episodes which are okay, but it's relentlessly miserable and some episodes are real stinkers.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't sure when I wrote it, but it was late (and there were wolves after me).

I have to confess I was a little confused as to what Kady had done to John initially, and I'm not normally this slow when it comes to tv. I don't know if we needed a graphic scene of his death, but something more was needed. I wonder how Kady killed him too, given that he was the son of a demi-god.

I would be surprised if this is the last we see of Reynard as well, for Kady it sure has to be unfinished business.

Whilst Josh hasn't done it for me before now I liked him in this episode. I don't want to see him become a main character but I've no issue if he's sometimes in the background. I'm definitely with you on the core characters being together front though, and hope it'll happen in the season finale.
