GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!
GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!
I heard about the Disney one, but not the Bollywood series so will have to check that out too. And I know that the Penny Dreadfuls have performed some plays for radio recently, but it's a long time since they did anything live, which I think is a real shame.
I couldn't agree more, the lack of cohesive storytelling was appalling and other shows would be crucified for doing such a thing. But worst of all was the lack of decent jokes. Sure, there were a couple which worked (9, the Ike quote above) but the majority of them either fell flat or made me cringe. I was really…
Thanks for the info there, I wasn't aware of the BBC Radio show but I've been a big fan of Tuck's ever since I first saw him live as part of The Penny Dreadfuls sketch group, so I'll definitely be checking this out.
He's not only the producer of the worst seasons of Dexter, but the writer of the final episode as well. I've tried to find some way to be optimistic about this, but I've failed. Which is annoying.
Likewise. My girlfriend works in a busy call centre and has all but lost her sex drive as she's so exhausted when she gets home. It's something we've talked about, and something we're working on, but it's a month since we've had sex now and it's getting all rather frustrating.
I wouldn't say he's full on manic yet. But I imagine he'll get there by the end of the season, I hope so as the character needs to develop a little.
He was due to be at the Museum of Comedy in London talking about his lengthy career in a couple of weeks time, a friend had tickets and I wanted to attend as well, and both of us are now gutted we'll never have the chance to meet him.
And pointing out a role he was largely panned for seems a bit harsh too, especially given the number of other highly praised performances (like Our Friends In The North, for one thing) that could have been included.
Dark Prince - The Legend of Dracula (Joe Chapelle, 2000) - It tries to give Dracula a back story and just doesn't really work.
About ten years ago I watched every film based on Dracula with a group of online friends, it took months but was quite enjoyable despite the repetitive nature of the story. Each tended to have at least something interesting about it, whether it be the way it was shot or the different performances. But I know there's…
What I'm interested in is how many parks there are, and how are they themed? I'm hoping for Future World, naturally, but also Dinosaur World*, Jesus World, The Fall of Rome World, Leonard Cohen World and PFFR World.
Jon Glaser Loves Gear. But I do love Ash an enormous amount and think both shows will be considered classics in years to come.
John Glaser Loves Gear is less conventional than those shows, but it's incredibly funny stuff and something I keep on trying to persuade people to watch as I love it so much.
It's strange, I agree with a lot of the criticism of this episode, especially Todd's reaction to the fact that Dirk knew time travel was involved all along (though quite why Todd himself didn't figure that out earlier is a bit confusing), and yet I'm still enjoying the series immensely.
It varied from episode to episode, but there was one which revolved around the death of a child which I thought was really exploitative and handled incredibly poorly.
Yeah, Amazon wanted him to start working on Hannibal Season 4 straight away whereas he wished to do American Gods. Which is why as much as I love the man, I shall never kiss him.
Likewise. I once wrote a review of the British show Afterlife that got me hired for the same publication as a pre-fame Charlie Brooker. Though I only lasted three weeks as I kept on being given stuff I liked to review!
That was such a lovely interview and it'll make me miss the series even more when it's gone. So yes, thank you Mr Aukerman, and I hope whatever you do next is a success. And a sexy success at that.
SPOILERS UP TO THE MOST RECENT ISSUE.
