Agreed! I've loved Tobowlosky for so many years now and I've been waiting for him to turn up in something really great, so it was so lovely to see him in this.
I would love it if they did the AHS thing and used the same cast, but told a different story each year. As much as I loved the show it felt like a perfect ending, and I can't imagine the second season topping the first without losing the sense of reality the show had.
Marvel did an adaptation of Oz? I can't believe I didn't hear about that, it's been way too long since they've made comics about race wars and male rape in prison.
I haven't so far, but thanks for the recommendation, I'll get on to it asap.
She was so great in The United States of Tara, I've been hoping someone would cast her in something decent again for ages, and I've high hopes now, Wheatley hasn't put a step wrong for me so far, bar the slightly over long first Who S8 episode.
It really was. It's so rare for someone to be so self-depricating, and willing to chat about the times they fucked up, I think this is one of the best Random Roles I've ever read.
You haven't seen Secret Diary of a Call Girl? It's not great, but the nudity is…um…enjoyable…!
This kind of sounds like a more science-y version of the British game show The Crystal Maze. If it's anywhere near as fun as that was (the Richard O'Brien years at least) then I'm in.
Gah, I don't want to feel like this, trust me, but I can't understand why so many people love this movie so much. I caught it for free at a preview in London organised by Frightfest, and really wanted to enjoy it, and to an extent I thought it was okay with a few fun moments, but it's nothing that special. Perhaps it…
I've met him twice and he was lovely both times, even though I am actually quite annoying. So there's a tiny bit more evidence that he's not a prick all of the time.
She won't be killed off any time soon? Like Tara when she made series regular? Never trust a Whedon!
I'm guessing the special laminated version will sell the most copies.
Fortitude? Fartitu- (puts shotgun in mouth, pulls trigger).
"McDonald’s employees and their families are not eligible for love" gave me the biggest laugh of the year so far. And I've laughed a lot. I'm some kind of addict.
Perhaps, but I remember that when it looked like Tara had been killed for good people were overjoyed (I even took a screenshot of the bullet tearing her head apart to make sure she wouldn't be able to realistically come back!), and there was a lot of frustration and annoyance when it was announced she was coming back…
I just keep trying to remind myself how great an actress she seemed to be during in season one. And how she can't really be blamed, given the terrible material she had to work with, that everyone ended up hating Tara.
Pride is a lovely film, there's no need to have mixed feelings about it at all!
And do the audio book version as well. This needs to happen.
I would like to be the first to complain about the lack of a mention of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, but I'm not reading 525 comments to find out if I am. Sorry!
