The problem with Dollhouse was that the budget constraints really showed: the stakes never felt as big as we were told that they were. In the end, I wanted to like it more than I ever really did.

I think I liked the June 17th one slightly more than The Two Escobars, and weirdly enough, it felt more like an hour of TV than The Two Escobars, which was so filmic that it was actually released as a film.
Bored to Death
I thought Bored to Death's second season continued to build on the momentum of the end of their first season, and, by the end of the season, it belonged in the conversation as one of the funniest shows on TV.
Veronica Mars - 1st Season
The Wire - 4th Season
Seinfeld - 4th Season
Deadwood - 2nd Season
Buffy The Vampire Slayer - 3rd Season
I also gave up on GLEE, after pretty much hating it for the entire first season. I kept with it because my wife liked it, and there still seemed like a good show buried there somewhere.
Probably not too great, since Foxton & Buckler toured for a couple of years (with another guy) as "From The Jam."
The Jam in Concert
Were fucking awesome. I saw them in '82 at the Warfield San Francisco, near the end of the tour supporting The Gift, and despite the fact that the only song they played from the first three albums was "In The Crowd," they were still full of fire and energy.
As useless as Troi is, she STILL isn't as annoying of a character as Jake Sisko, who managed to combine the whininess of early Wesley Crusher with the uselessness of any period Troi.
Wrong Lawsuit
We all should be suing The Black Eyed Peas for making music.
This Restores My Faith In Humanity
Which had previously been lost by too much exposure to the Yogi Bear trailer on TV. So it all works out!!!
Congratulations, Tristiac! Too bad, though, about the actual quality of his trolling.

I'm always a bit nonplussed at the fact that people are weirded out about TV relationships where one character is significantly older than another.

In A Silent Way
Is my favorite jazz album, and "Shh/Peaceful" is one of my all-time favorite pieces of music. Tony Williams is amazing throughout, and I love how the music creates tension by leaving gigantic holes for Miles' trumpet to come blasting in from outer space.
No. Or should I say "noah." There was the whole episode with the Diddy-like rapper, not to mention Tony's ongoing relationship with the crooked minister.
I'd Said For Years That I'd See Murray in Anything
Except for this.
This is SO Preliminary
Because I'm still winding through the year, which I think was one of the best years ever for popular music. Therefore, this list subject to change, but here goes:
Yeah, Surrrrre
Just this morning, on a very TV-savvy morning radio show, one of the guys brought the cancellation of "Terriers," and the overall response was either "what? what was that?" or "Terriers? Wasn't that about dogs?"
Charity or No
It's still the greatest thing ever.
