Seinfeld Sucked!
Not the show, the show ruled, but man when it first aired, I had very little hope for it, because I really hated Jerry's standup when he showed up on Late Night With David Letterman. And he was a terrible interview: sticking completely to his routine, even while talking to Dave.

I've just be assaulted with "Come Sail Away" twice this week (once, during the Kimmel "alternate endings to LOST, and again during a "Freaks and Geeks" ep), and I'm reminded of this amazingly awkward attempt at wordplay:

Hey, it's that other chick from Townies!
That was pretty much the response in our household when Lauren Graham showed up for an arc on our beloved "Newsradio" during the same season that Jenna Elfman was getting a HUGE push for "Dharma and Greg" and Molly Ringwald was — well, who knows, really?

Not if I toss a shot of bourbon in with it!

What a Year!
Is 2010 shaping up to best the best year in music since (pick your year here) 1991 or what?

All-Time Top 10 For Sure
This wasn't my first Stones album or anything — they were always in the air, in the zeitgeist, in the world when I was growing up — but it is my favorite Stones album.

"Rocks Off" barely gets the nod over "Torn and Frayed," "Loving Cup," "Happy" and "All Down the Line"

C.K. Dexter Haaaaaavennnnnn
Noone is ever going to read this, but I think that the funniest scene in all of cinema is the shitfaced Jimmy Stewart confronting Cary Grant scene in "The Philadelphia Story."

The ironic thing is that I was going to reference Pavement in my original comment, and backed out because I thought it was too specific.

Agreed that Sepinwall did an amazing job with his F&G recaps. I've been rewatching it recently, and have been going through his write-ups.

One of the things I hope we get is the rehab of the post-Sorkin final seasons of the West Wing.

The Larry Sanders Show for 2011!
I'm starting the lobbying now.

I was just about to post: what about "Freaks And/Or Geeks"??

Yeah, what @lazerguided said.

MST3K as Indie Rock Band
One more thing: I've always thought that MST3K was the television equivalent of a really great indie rock band.

MST Got Me Through One of My Worst Times
In spring of 1994, I found myself unemployed from a job I'd had since 1985, and not really quite knowing what I was going to with my life.

I with @Curly Jefferson, "Rock and Roll" totally got slagged off, but I think it's one of his best solo albums. It's got a quality I've never heard in his music either before or since: fun.

Nashville as an HBO Series
Had it been conceived thirty years later, I could easily see Nashville as the pilot episode for a pretty interesting HBO series, because there were so many ideas there to explore.

I HATED "Conspiracy." After all of the other crimes of season 1, that pretty much nearly turned me from the series entirely.

An Italian Robin Hood?
Count me in!!
