Good news on the new Teenage Fanclub.
Good news on the new Teenage Fanclub.
@js,
I loved it from the start. Pretty much made me a Teenage Fanclub fan for life, even though they've pretty gone just straight pop since then, and have never again made records as unpolished and noisy as those first two.
BANDWAGONESQUE
Had this weird moment of instant hipster backlash when SPIN notoriously chose it as the best album of 1991.
PSYCHOCANDY
Is the greatest album to ever come out of Scotland, full stop.
ROCKS FTW.
Nope. Hollywood bought out the small chain that I used to manage one of the stores for, and proceeded to fire all of the managers — many who had been working for that chain for years and years — and THEN fight their unemployment claims.
Fuck Them
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Back in 2006, I met W. Earl Brown at at Drive-by Truckers concert in LA. he was right there near the front of the stage, and was really friendly.
@Felt Pelt,
"Casablanca" is one of the perfect films. Great as a double-bill with "Play it Again, Sam," to boot.
Ramones Music is Math!
I've always thought that the Ramones were the final proof that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
Best songs from first four albums
"Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue"
"Blitzkreig Bop"
"Commando"
"Pinhead"
"Rockaway Beach"
"I Don't Care"
"Sheena is a Punk Rocker"
"I Just Wanna Have Something to Do"
One of My All-Time Favorites
This came out when I was still IN high school, and I was also a huge Ramones fan, so it was a no-brainer, and has always been one of my favorite rock films.
What's The Problem With
A great band continuing to play to their strengths?
Watching a Show on a Big Screen HD TV
Still kicks ass over watching it on a computer.
I've heard of people who claim that they've never met anybody who liked "Chuck," but I've never met one.
Please Don't Think That These People Speak For The Rest of Us Chuck Fans
Because they don't. Really!!!
From now on
When anybody asks me what I did today, I'm going to answer: "My head was on top of a turtle."
I Didn't Have a GeoCities Site
I went in a different direction, which is why the homepage I first built in early 1995 (and haven't really updated since 2001) is still out there, having only moved once in the past 15 years.
