Let me respectfully disagree with Bad Horse and others here: I actually thought that some of the later season eps with Lwaxana were pretty funny. Can I provide specific examples? No. But I do recall hating her less, if for no other reason than Majel seemed to be having so much fun.
We watched "Everybody Loves Hugo" just prior to watching "The Last Recruit" (as been our pattern all season), and it took only a couple of beats for the torch to fall down the well and splash.
