I discovered a new Mexican place this past weekend. My normal go to place was packed, so I looked online for what others recommend, and holy shit, they were right. I got a hot grilled pan of meats (ribs, chicken, beef, chorizo and shrimp) in peppers and onions. Just, delicious.  Sorry, Rosepepper, you have been

Well, I passed 2,000 without even noticing. How about that?

So, as teased last week, here is my annoying coworker from Utah's story of the week. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I missed Monday and Tuesday with raging allergies so I don't have any fresh, shitty behavior to share, and the following story I missed part of due to having to do some actual work at that time.

Well, @avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus , from this dude's point of view, I hate sandals on me or any other guy.  My fiancee has no issue with them and cannot fathom why I won't wear them.  So, I guess it is up to the person.

Oh, fabulous. I should be at the end by the weekend.

Speaking of elevators at the office, two things:

If it makes you feel better, I take notes of his nonsense, and kid you not, I have pages written down I haven't posted here.  Tune in next time when I recount the story of him discussing why Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield. Spoiler alert It's racist!

I read it at 16 or so and loved it, and at 22, 28, 33, etc… It is one of my favorite books. So fucking dark, and so fucking funny. Clevlinger's trial, Rome, man, I love it.

I didn't finish Closing Time, either. It just felt wrong.

I am probably going to get A Wilderness of Error, next. I remember watching that made-for-tv miniseries when I was a kid and between that and Helter Skelter, I was completely frightened of roving bands of murderous hippies.

I started to go with the Grossman books instead of the Abercrombie series I mentioned below, but I remembered how divisive the series was on the avclub. It seemed to be a real love it or hate it, so I stayed away for now.

It may be mine, as well.

After that recent cruise mishap, the title essay is even more spot on…

I really liked in Fierce Invalids Home from Warm Climates (also where my handle comes from), there is a club called C.R.A.F.T. which stands for Can't Remember a Fucking Thing. The club meets to drink and read passages out of Finnegan's Wake. It mentions that one year, they almost made it past the first chapter.

What's funny, @avclub-d019eb089e65903455cc52308f00b997:disqus , is that I went in search of a jacket JGL is wearing in Inception only to discover that all of the clothes were tailored just for the movie. I was very disappointed. It was worse than finding out Cumberbatch's Sherlock coat was both discontinued and like

Yeah, they're pretty badass. I love that my fiancee is a fashionable splurger, too. She was urging me to spend the money on those Tricker shoes.

If you haven't noticed (re: the orange), that seems to be a trend this year of having a bright contrasting color sole or piping. I sort of like it, but wonder if I wouldn't grow to hate them or find them limiting. I tend to lean toward tradition fashion, so they are probably out, but I wanted opinions.  I like the

I'm on page 200 or so, and it is about to get exciting.

I was in the same boat (not a big fantasy reader, waiting for the next Martin book) and just randomly selected the series from some articles on good series, and I have really liked it.  I have not read the Name of the Wind books. In fact, the only other series I think I have read is the Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever

Where were you, @avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus : https://www.youtube.com/wat… I posted this the week after the Super Bowl, I think.
