Ugh, you can have her. I saw Hole at Lollapalooza in the mid '90s and at the end of their awful set, which consisted of her mostly just screaming at the crowd, she yanked her dress up and flashed the crowd for quite a while. Seeing her pasty misshapen form on the Jumbotron was…unsettling.

Jaguar versus Brendan Frazier

Psychology and Philosophy, here.

Frankly, I hate that phrase and regret using it, but that said, they've already been on Conan and playing the festivals this summer and they have only released a 5 song EP. I expect to be sick of hearing about them by the end of the year.

If I might add for people going, you should definitely try to check out Alabama Shakes if you get a chance. They are playing a couple of shows at SXSW. That band is about to blow up and this may the last chance to catch them in a bar.

They aren't kidding with the "get there early" line. I tried to get in two years ago and got no where near the door.

Looking around, there isn't much more to hear right now. All they have released is a 5 song EP and their first record doesn't come out until April 10th. Reading some reviews of shows, they only have 15 songs they play.

I don't if they completely qualify for this column, but the only place you could listen to Alabama Shakes for a while was on YouTube. Now, they've been on Conan, Bonnaroo and Hangout Fest.

You didn't look at it, did you d baser? You'll ruin it for everybody. What are you, some kind of Heisenberg?

Someone could have tried, but I think their time would be better spent explaining string theory to a dead cat.

Oh shit, it could be a bear. Those godless killing machines may have got him.

Hey! I get all my information from nude models. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am going to take a long walk on the beach.

Bordel de merde!

With purpose!

@avclub-88c684398fdcd02e0cf958f8ddb068d6:disqus I saw that! If for whatever reason I am not in Nashville by then, they are also playing in Birmingham.  A friend of mine lived in Nashville a few years back, and he got to play with some of the members, minus Kurt Wagner.

I watched guy on oxycontin attempt to jump a fire barrel. He jumped into the barrel, tipping the barrel over and the contents on himself. I also convinced a very drunk friend to jump a bike over a fire pit. He teetered slowly up to the fire and fell in it.

Around that same era, we ruined our GPA's the old fashion way. I kept a Sega Genesis around with the 4 controller adapter and played marathon 2 on 2 sessions of NBA Jam. That, and Bill Walsh College Football.

Thanks again, people. I think my girlfriend is set on East Nashville and was thrilled to have you locals giving us advice.

Cool, thanks for the tips. Yes, we'll rent for the first year at least, and try to feel out where we want to settle down. I'm glad I swung by the Bonnaroo thread because I have been meaning to ask if there was any Nashville AVclubbers.

I have been working in healthcare IT for ten years, have been planning on leaving this shithouse job I currently have, and have discovered that Nashville is the Mecca of Healthcare IT. My girlfriend also works in the same field and after looking around and debating it, we decided Nashville is the place for us.
