If you only watch this episode and ignore anything not involving Lori Petty, Gotham's a pretty good show.

But he was hilarious in Go as the sexually ambiguous detective/ersatz AmWay salesperson/spouse to Jane Krakowski's character.

Yup, season three is post-apocalyptic Person of Interest. And I'm pretty sure Clarke just fell in love with an AI. Which makes season three post-apocalyptic Her, too.

I still wish Darlton would've given her character more to do on Lost. How do you cast Zoe Bell just for her character to jump off a fucking boat?

Aww, I wish him the best. I'm not familiar with his standup, but I really enjoyed him on Nerd Poker.

Just as a sick joke, can we get the person who wrote that review here for Neko Case's The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You to review the case/lang/veirs?

Hey- HEY, THAT'S NOT HOW WORK WORKS!

It's like it gets off on being withholding.

Small detail I thought was hilarious, and perfectly in character: Ruby's "riot cash" stashed in Crown Royal bags.

This episode is why I watch TV. It was brilliantly acted, its dialogue was witty, provocative and evocative, it had a virtuoso control of tone, and it was elegantly structured. I really want to see a live reading of this episode, because it all played out like a captivating stage play.

The Grinder reminds me a bit of pre-Netflix Arrested Development, especially after these last couple episodes. Fred Savage is about as great a straight man as Jason Bateman, and it's been a delight to see him succumb to the madness he sees in the people in his life. In both The Grinder and Arrested Development, Stew

If I remember correctly, that's how they animated the characters for at least one of the Bob's Burgers comic books, or one of the promos for the comics.

Exactly what I was thinking. That headline really entices, in a moth-to-a-flame sort of way.

But if you weren't reading a cookbook at the time, how would anyone know to harass you with likely-punny foodie innuendo? Maybe you could walk around gesturing inappropriately with a mortal and pestle? Or would that invite unwanted pharmaceutical innuendo? Niche sexual harassment is complicated.

DOES FOX KNOW?! OH MY GOD, WAS IT AN ACCIDENT?!

I'm completely okay with the second half not being funnier (I didn't notice). As soon as Gene heard Courtney's preference to break up and his face dropped, the episode hit a level of pathos that I hadn't seen in a Gene episode since "E.T. …." And Gene's surprise "announcement" was such a sweet, perfect resolution. It

Me too! I was full on Zeke-ing by the end of that song.
