Hah! Classic Simpsons.

Classic Nathan Poe.

@avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus God, those fucking zooms. EVERY. SINGLE. SPECIAL EFFECTS SHOT:

Adding to the chorus of liking V/H/S 2 quite a bit! Also agreeing on how they could just ditch the wraparounds, or at the very least make them WAY shorter. I don't think they're going anywhere, though: they seemed to be adding mythology to it now, with that kid talking about the infection rate of the tapes or whatever.

No, he's Lukas Haas.

Plus he is a great comedic actor! I mean, "me and my brother we hid up in the rafters, we seen the whole thing!"? COME ON! Biggest laugh of the season for me.

It was funny, but also such a blatant Being John Malkovich rip-off that I'm surprised they didn't do a self-aware reference to it. Have Ron Howard attempt to construct a portal into the head of Wilford Brimley or something.

"Is Chris Diamantopoulos the Ted McGinley of the 21st century?"

According to an offhand comment at the end of a recent profile on his meditation stuff, he IS working on the screenplay for a new movie.

Her appearance in The Ice Storm made ME very oddly proportioned, if you know what I mean

Your mom picked up the clap after being with ME twice a night, 5 nights a week.

A meat pie, of course.

I'm a huge fan of Silence of the Lambs, but Hopkins' portrayal of Lecter has not aged well due to all the bullshit he did with the role later. It's still a fucking amazing film on its own terms*, but it's hard not to be reminded of the hooting boogeyman they turned Lecter into in subsequent movies. So right now, yeah:

"How Lena Dunham challenges my masculine expectations of a sweet boner", by Todd VanDerWerff.

Christina Ricci in general, but especially in Addams Family. (I was Ricci's age when I first saw it.) I kinda blame her for making me go for sullen, aloof and cold women ever since. Sigh. I even had a goth phase, presumably to impress this fictional 11-year old character.

Jeez. Your hairdo "revelation" is a textbook example of reaching for something that is really, really not there. This movie is pure dog shit, and if bullshitting yourself like that is necessary for you to see any depth in it then…
