I think the only thing that would make me dislike The Amazing Spider-Man more would be him beating up the corpse of Randy Savage, though.

Man, Achewood is so frikkin' amazing. (Or should that be "hell of such as amazing"?) I imagine at least 70% of AV Club readers would identify strongly with Roast Beef.

I have to say, @avclub-620982009915db2a0b4a49e224bad30c:disqus, that based on your posting history you're the last person I'd expect to confusedly ask "What's with all the scat and enemas?"

Congratulations!

Are people really criticizing the gorgeous effects of The Thing? Compare the wonderful practical effects of the original with the CGI turd-fest of the remake and tell me what is more scary.

I agree with you on the Sigur Rós Valtari films! I saw them all in one sitting at a screening here in Singapore. Baffles me why #12 won; sure, it's a cool enough concept, but it gets old real fast. #6 is good, but I found it a teensy bit lacking in execution.

I discovered the secret to fisting unpublished authors.

Is she a great big fat person?

@avclub-87caf7c42aedbada42572e2374eed08d:disqus  I don't know, Liam Gallagher seems to have no problem singing it badly.

No, I do agree it would be too simplistic to call it ONLY a comedy. I'm exaggerating a bit in response to everyone either over-analyzing the show as a profound statement, or disliking it because they do not LIKE the characters as people (as if you would wanna hang out with, say, GOB from AD). It is a lot of things,

Man, I just mentally heard your comment in the most outrageously racist accent. I'm so sorry.

wtf is starz lol

It's an industry insider secret that "Jessa" is actually portrayed by Andy Serkis in motion capture.

Take away the quotation marks and you're 100% right.

But shouldn't there be some sort of HBO CEO of Ballsacks, just to establish a balance in the universe?

Yeah, something of a missed opportunity there to have one of his parents be Irish and the other one American. Would explain that accent.

I'd say she has the EGO part down HEYOOOH!

The bathtub singing was hilarious in its awfulness, but when they switched to the real song for the closing credits both me and my girlfriend shrieked in terror and scrambled to mute the TV. God, that song.

I agree with the Larry David comparison; considering how Hannah's life is going and how people view her in the show, I'm sure Lena Dunham knows just how awful the character is. (I was less sure of that in Tiny Furniture - I really disliked that film - but in hindsight I guess she must've been.)

Agreed! She's always a delight, though. This episode was extremely funny in general: it's the one I'd use to show the naysayers that yes, it is a fucking COMEDY for God's sake. Not a kitchen-sink, realistic portrayal of twenty-somethings today. Not people you should look up to any more than you should admire the
