Just finished the last episode. It breaks my heart how good everything was, how perfect everything could have been. It was those last 30 second that reminded me what show I was watching and that there's no way things are going to end well.

I bought Three Cheers second hand years and years ago and enjoyed it on occasion, usually in the throes of some alcohol and a delayed-stage of teenage angst. I feel a decent amount of shame about it now.
Oh no. This might make their fans somewhat depressed.
I think the idea is that she's been living in the UK for a while so picked up some Briticisms (ha! I know how to spell it!) like the crazy lady who owns the pub later on (can't recall her name). I also think Nancy's accent is pretty good.
The face David Mitchell makes while doing that "dance"…
I should get more points for not feeling a fucking thing.
The best kind of war, really.
Goddamit…
I've been catching up on Breaking Bad and now I have one episode left until I'm all done. Currently looking for a new meaning in life (while waiting for the new GoT and Venture Brothers to start).
I've only read Horns but based on that I'd say that Joe Hill is the exact same author as his father. The writing styles are damn near identical, only the cultural references have been updated. Also all the characters are given extensive and often superfluous back stories and the same tropes appear (small towns, fucked…
Since it says "scenes", I'm pretty sure books don't count but there's a pretty harrowing scene in King's The Stand where the main characters (not one of whom is a doctor) try to perform surgery with the help of a medical manual and after hours of incompetent cutting and slicing the guy just dies.
Well, he wasn't a "civilian", unless all the predators are like that.
It's pretty safe to perform any surgery if you got Jesus giving you a hand.
They should make a "Watch This" for Three Kings. It is so awesome, and it's also a war movie with not a lot of war in it.
I personally consider Apocalypse Now pretty much the best film so far so this simply cannot be better.
Great. You got two jobs, I'm lucky to have something part-time.
I believe the reason they kept him for so long was that when it came to necessary wang expositions, he was very good.
Afterwards go home and pass out on the couch while watching DUMB & DUMBER.
