I look forward to the reposted snpp comments more than the writeup. There are some reviews of mine at snpp that I came regret. Good reviews of doube-digit seasons episodes.

Surprised and happy to see Police Squad covered. Will be reading.

I don't know if "the fleshy part of the thigh" is a commonly used phrase. A quick Google search only turns up this episode. But a while ago I was reading a Stephen Jay Gould essay entitled "George Canning's Left Buttock and the Origin of Species", which has the following paragraph about a duel between Canning and…
I always wondered why they bothered to get rid of Mel off-camera at the end of season 5. Maybe it was a plot device in order to delay Junior's retrial. But I think it's also about Junior's world falling apart. He has to change lawyers, and his accountant (very minor spoiler) speaks with a voice box, as if he was from…
I like how they show Carmela giving Tony his new insurance card, (spoilers) just in time for it to be instrumental in getting him into a top hospital.
The Seinfeld finale does something like that too. Before the trial sets in, they hint at different directions, as the plot was a closely-guarded secret. "It's going to be about Jerry getting his own sitcom in LA". "Elaine and Jerry will get together". "They're going to just kill 'em all". All these are hinted at, then…
Who is the biggest bigwig of them all?
"You Only Move Twice" should have been a movie.
There's another proto-Frasier coming in a few weeks. I think is in "Battle of the exes". Carla is having some crisis, and locks herself in Sam's office. A guy introduces himself in a pretty pompous way as a psychiatrist and assures everybody he can help, then enters the office and comes out seconds later with his…
By season 5 she's Jerkass Diane.
What makes it more ironic is that Vito is the one who killed Jackie Jr. Murder that is not coincidentally brought up in this episode. Of course, she attributes it to "African-Americans". But looks like Vito did take a job a minority could have had.
Great review, AV Staffers. Looking forward to reading these every week.
They were the Harrison songs used in the movie, in order of appearance.
I grew up with that version too, but once you get used to Castellaneta and company, there's no going back.
Sideshow Bob has to be close to being the longest running character played by Kelsey Grammer by now.
So enabler is a better word than accomplice.
