during that last scene I was really hoping that jimmy would duck out of the way and eli would blast nucky in the gut with the shotgun he had trained on jimmy. The way they were aligned would have made it totally doable, if jimmy and eli had the wherewithal to do it.

I thought that the plot of this episode worked to indicate that Johnathan and Rose were not really related. Bergeron was admittedly a con-man, and may have seen the usefulness of having Jonathan around if he believed Bergeron to be his father. Ultimately, he sets up Jonathan and uses him as a patsy when he absconds…
