You went to Vietnam on a business trip!

I thought Eyephone ep was pretty good. The "Susan Boil" thing was lame, sure. But overall it was funny and had some good topical satire. As did some of the original episodes I would note.

@Dot Dot Dot: They actually cut the actual full orchestra out of the budget starting with season five (that is, the series of DVD movies). It's synthesized now. But what's amazing is that I actually haven't really noticed the difference. I agree, it's impressive, on all fronts, and I haven't noticed a difference in

Although I did see one episode beforehand, my sister pretty much got me addicted through "Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare." It illustrates the characters and the general feel of the show pretty well.

Maybe it's a legal thing or something? I noticed all the shows that had clips in there were shows that CC actually owns. FOX owns Futurama.

^Not necessarily. He may have come up with the basic premise (based loosely on his experience), and then the final script may have had little of his original material. The credited writer often (but not always) DOES pitch the basic premise at least; in fact, this is sometimes about the only reason they're credited

^Yeah, that threw me too. I have little to no interest in watching the most recent shows, but I'd actually take them over ever watching seasons 10-12 again. That shit was brutal.

Pinning it on specific writers like Cohen or Daniels is tricky because (not to downplay their greatness or anything, but) they're JUST writers and don't actually "run" the show like a showrunner does. You could make an argument for specific ones being particularly important, like George Meyer and Swartzwelder, but

I'm 24, and I definitely don't get all the references (although I do get a lot of them), but I have always assumed that some of them you're not really supposed to get…or, at least, that it would be very impressive if you actually got certain ones. Which isn't to say that they're supposed to be nonsense like Grandpa

His Asperger's might also explain his obsession with making Ghostbusters 3.* 'Cause, really Akyroyd. Seriously. It's time to fucking move on.

Season 2 is awesome (quite possibly the best season, actually) and season 9 kind of blows.

Yeah, THOH V is definitely the best by far. The Shinning is easily my favorite of any of the THOH segments, in fact.

Ah yes, the Resident Evil games. That's what I was thinking of (well, specifically the second one which came out when Dead Space Extraction did). I have the first one and it was pretty solid, although I disliked that you were forced to use the nun-chuck attachment. Simplify, man!

Dead Space Extraction (coming to the Move also) is supposed to be pretty solid. I want to say there was another recent one that was supposed to be pretty good but I can't think of it.

OMG KITTENS

I've stopped watching since, but I'm somewhat of an apologist for seasons 13-16 or so (after that, it got lousy enough again that I quit watching). I'd have to say, though, that even in those seasons I dreaded every Treehouse episode, because they were usually among the worst of the season (and even of the whole

Avacado: well yes, sort of. Most of them were labeled that way on screen until at some point among the more recent ones, probably because they realized that in the age of cable systems and DVD releases that people actually DO know the titles now. But back in the early 90s, most people didn't know ANY of the titles;

Ahem….
….they're all called "Treehouse of Horror." There's never been an "s" at the end of "Horror."

C+
So, this is better than 300 then?

I never really got into this show either (although it's one of those things that I've meaning to give more of a real shot whenever I get the chance. I watched the first two or three episodes in order once on DVD and thought it was okay, but I just didn't see the hype at the time. I saw some other random stuff from
