i agree with this. people like to put up walls, don't they? baaah.

metallica is derided nowadays (deservedly so imho) and taken for granted, but master of puppets & and justice were watershed moments in metal. i've been on a serious 'masters' tear lately. orion, leper messiah, of the thing that should not be…that was some dangerous shit.

that would have been a good firsties. but 1.0 will have to do.

recently i'd say
the beauty in distortion/land of the lost by j davey. kind of where dilla & the neptunes meet, with some prince & psychedelic sounds thrown in. very synthy, sexy at points, and i couldn't stop rinsing it-just because (w/phonte), let it bleed, dirty love (zappa cover). not backpacker like doom, but

seriously?

i saw it at a sneak preview last nite, and for the cost of free, it was awesome.

i don't get roberts either. hey-how about julianne moore? sexy, smart, talented.

speaking as a nazi peodphile supporter of the hilton sisters, i take great umbrage with nabin's assessment.

i'm hopeful
that this rise of mediocrity masquerading as 'hipness' will find its' own mediocre level. eventually.

thanks for passing that on
now i feel as if i need a very long shower to remove that dirt you've spilled on my soul.

it might be less appropriate to say 'hits the street', dude. i mean, after amassing quite the cache with 'mmm-bop', does hanson still have any street cred left after squandering it with 'where's the love'?

half baked
i quite liked the first half of the album, but thought it suffered from guest verse syndrome on the second half (phoning it in). whatchadoin should be a summer banger though…bailebeats don't seem to get old imho.

with the exception of adaptation, raising arizona, wild at heart & a marginal exception on bringing out the dead, nick cage films=spiced ham.

i'd also add…
morvern callar

i'm an oral roberts man myself. where's mickey rourke's dirt on oral roberts?

did people really hate ihearthuckabees that much? wow.

@ lexicon-it's because it WAS in there living room. no kidding. and they pretty much had every friend and friend of a friend in DOTD.

it IS just a trailer. put the film in context on its' own terms, like, say, all uwe boll films are.

quote mbs: "Was Petty high when they were filming?"

yeah, but can twain hammer a six inch spike through a board with his penis?
