May I offer you a Sioux City Sarsaparilla?

I think she looks more like David Tennant.

Between this show and Detroit 1-8-7, I'm starting to believe there is some unwritten rule of TV that requires all police procedurals set in Detroit to be complete garbage.

Listen to some of the songs off of Manic Compression, like Brown Gargantuan or Backward. Although most people think Slip is better than Manic Compression, I've always preferred the latter.

Yeah, I think Walter remains the most influential person in the history of NYHC.

LWS is so bad it will make people nostalgic for Detroit 1-8-7.

One of my favorite things about Broadchurch is its use of color. Every single scene has one or two dominant colors, and there are no white walls. I especially like how Hardy's attire is the same color as his office - reinforcing the message that Hardy is his job.
This use of color reminds me of John Boorman's Point

I'm with you - I've never understood the popularity of Life. Love. Regret. - I think Unbroken's best stuff is found elsewhere.

FWIW, my favorite screamo records are:

1. Neil Perry / A Satellite Crash - Split LP (great artwork, too)
2. Constantine Sankathi - Who Killed the Kid 7"

I'm surprised there is no mention of Frail. Frail always struck me as the archetypal screamo band.

As screamo grew, it became typified by bands with unforgivably precious/pretentious names: I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism In Your Yearbook, Her Breath On Glass, Universal Order Of Armageddon, etc.

The monocle is my evil accessory of choice.

I'm with you - Tennant didn't do anything for me as The Doctor, but he's
great in this series. Alec Hardy is becoming one of my favorite fictional
detectives.
