A "Woah!!!!!" escaped me when she turned that panel into body armor. It was just so freaking cool and even cooler because it was natural to the action.

I have been working on a one man play about all the people who died in that extra long tunnel the second-raters built. It's called "Suck It, Second Raters (Suck the Fetid Air)"
He feels he got it right, and that's all that really matters.
I don't know if this has been mentioned before or maybe it was specific to tonight, but has this Gotham world always had only CRTs? I wasn't sure if that was just a strange detail to the 80ish90 investment shit, but I think I saw them as well in the everyone scatter zone that is the Gotham PD headquarters.
If they somehow get PFT Commenter on the show…
Slappity-slappity boogity-boogity boom!
You want to know old? Markie Post is now as old or older than Selma Diamond and Florence Halop when they died. That it is what it feels to be pop culturally old, my friend who's not a friend because how could you be when I randomly choose this post to rant against.
Well, that's just being responsible.
And of course the pronunciation "ma-HEE ma-HEE"
On first watch I thought Bolin yelled out, "Bollllliiiiiiinnnn!" as he leapt off the cliff to do his lava thing. Upon review, I realize he didn't, but I'm going to try to forget upon posting this because I like my version better.
The last couple of weeks have involved some pretty hoary sitcom plots, but what I'm liking about this show is that it is executing them so well. Just about everything was telegraphed, but I still enjoyed the process. Maybe I'm just old and enjoy my comfort food, but as of this moment this appears to be the most…
She was the high-highlight of a very highlighty castlist when I read the prereviews. I'd pause my own suicide a couple of ticks just to watch hers and consider it slightly less hellish time spent.
I have to give at least some extra points to the casting of Joe just because when his character was first identified all I could think was, dang, he really does look like he could be Clancy Brown's kid.
In my high school speech class when no one had any good comments after someone's stupid speech, one of my classmates always said, "Well….she/he *looked* nice!" That always pops in my head when I'm searching for a positive, and tonight's positive was, "Well, Richard Kind *was* pretty decent as the mayor."
Efficiency, my friend. Efficiency is the cause of the day! Why, with net neutrality looming, and it could go that one way or the other or perhaps even another what with tubes and clouds and spaces and such, but in preparation the name of the game is Eeee-ficiency!
All I ask from TV is that I learn something whenever I watch it. And tonight I learned that if I see a guy who looks vaguely like a beefier Ike Barinholtz and think to myself, "Hey, that could be Ike Barinholtz's brother" I need to trust that instinct.
Seems burn-offy, but if my old, drunken mind remembers correctly, seasons 3 and 4 were approved at the same time. If that's true - and if only there was some vast resource at my fingertips I could check to confirm — it isn't too surprising that new episodes would be ready so soon. Plus I think I read something the…
That was stunning. I found myself with that stupid, happy "this is so awesome!" grin on my face during nearly the entire last half. I enjoyed Book I. Book II was pretty good, but honestly I had no higher expectations than that for Book III. That it destroyed those expectations just added to the thrill.
I know it's probably been said before, but it's just so cool that the Water Lady (as opposed to a Lady in the Water, thank goodness) actually has no arms. It wasn't clear to me the first few times she appeared. Another small detail I just noticed is that it appears Zaheer has cauliflower ears.
Agreed. There seemed to be a lot of, for lack of a better term, rock-paper-scissors thinking to the battle. "Ok, so this person has this skill and is using it in this way. Who has a skill to best counteract that particular usage at that moment?" And then someone probably said "ergo" in there because such a…
