I know what you mean. It's bad enough I have to agree with a Hitler gimmick account, but I still can't bring myself to upvote it…
Why? Were you going to downvote spacecowboy? I'm sure he's just another guy who posts on the internet who probably looks just like Brad Pitt who is honestly saying that fat chicks aren't good enough for him. Dude, when are you going to stop persecuting people like spacecowboy?
Oh shit, I never put together that the Jonathan Ames who wrote The Alcoholic, which I loved, was the same Jonathan Ames who wrote Bored to Death, which I was pretty indifferent to. Maybe I should check out some of his other work.
The sequel to this movie will be a debate between an Evolutionist, a Creationist, and a Giant Turtleist.
I just checked and it's available on Netflix. I had never heard of it before but it definitely sounds funny.
If we are going to teach Creationism in our schools, do we have to limit it to the Christian version? What about the Norse, Egyptian, Mesoamerican, Sumerian, Greek, and countless others? How can we be sure they are not also right?
Him?
It's not America's fault the rest of the world won't embrace it's wonderful culture and values.
I'll be sure to catch this when it comes out on DVD next week. How does this woman keep getting work?
I wish TV Land would pick up Enlisted. That way it would run forever.
I don't think i've ever seen that guy in any other movie without thinking, " Hey! It's the pedophile from Happiness! " If they gave out Oscars for " Creepiest performance by an actor " he'd have deserved a lifetime achievement award for that role.
If you have Netflix, there is an anthology called The ABC's of Death:
" In this audacious anthology film, 26 masters of horror work their way down the alphabet with terrifying, humorous and poignant tales about death "
I watched this and didn't particularly care for it, just letting you know it's out there.
Best part of the movie was the funeral home segments.
I thought Tales from the Hood was an entertaining little film, not great, but better than I thought it would be.
Agreed. I love horror short story anthologies because the fatal flaw with most horror novels is unnecessary length. It bugs me that i've read so many cool short stories they would be great on screen, but not stretched out into full length features. So few anthology films do it well though.
I hope Sirens comes back for another season. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
On a kind of related note, read Harlem Hellfighters by Max Brooks over the weekend. Good stuff. I hope Hollywood picks it up for the big screen.
Quail Hunt, starring Dick Cheney.
