That would make the world a pretty awesome place…
Yeah, I kind of wondered where that came from myself. So out of nowhere she gets accepted to one of the finest grad school programs in the country after struggling to get her work published and doing sponsored work for GQ? That's really stretching it.
I think the library ghost's scariness is diffused by the guys Three Stooges-like reaction to it.
Yeah, I was seven when I saw Raiders and the opening of the Ark freaked me the fuck out when I saw it on the big screen. Of course the scene's special effects are laughable by today's standards.
Wow. What a reasonable, well spoken argument. Hard to believe the WBC is considered a Hate Group by the Anti-Defamation League…
One thing that struck me as funny about Ghostbusters is that fact that when I saw it in the theater at age 11, I was with my Aunt and my two cousins, who were 3 and 4 years old at the time. I was not excited to see it with them, because I thought they would be freaking out and crying at some of the ghosts in the film.…
I did not know that. I had never heard of Phelps and his little band of waterheads until they started protesting military funerals a couple of years ago. What exactly did they have against ol' St. Ron?
I guess the WBC and people of their ilk get a different Bible than everyone else that has the passages like the one you quoted edited out.
Chris-like? Which Chris? Chris Hardwick? Chris Christie? Chris Hemsworth? Chris Brown?
If you haven't seen the documentary Jesus Camp, or read the book American Taliban by Markos Moulitsas, I would highly recommend them. The people highlighted in them are just downright scary. The WBC is truly an awful organization, but there are so many more out there like them who don't feel the need to thrust…
I really can't think of anything this guy was ever in where i thought to myself, " Man that guy really sucked in that role. " A true Hollywood workhorse.
I would put some of the very hardcore Christians in the same camp as the Taliban. Just because you don't see more people at WBC rally's doesn't mean they don't believe in the same things as them. As for the Teabaggers, I think the only reason they distance themselves from the WBC is because they know it would be…
Guh?
There's a first time for everything!
Unfortunately there are many people out there that saying they had half a brain would be giving them too much credit.
I know you'll never break the core of the Westboro people, but an assassination would just make them martyrs in the eyes of some.
I've noticed some off my pretty hardcore Catholic relatives really take a more accepting view of the LGBT community in the past ten years on account of people like this.
I would have gone with " JESUS FORGIVES FRED FOR BEING AN INTOLERANT HATE MONGER " as my sign.
I'd usually agree with that sentiment, but I think this actually works against the Westboro folks. I doubt they are swaying any rational human beings to their way of thinking, and are really just making what they preach against seem more acceptable.
