I'm always reminded of Bob Goldthwait's quote about Reagan:
" Blaming Ronald Reagan for the state of this country is like blaming Ronald McDonald when you get a bad cheeseburger. Neither one of them is really running the show…"

This was the first Brooks movie I ever saw, and I think it is probably my favorite. Such a great cast.

The one that got to me was the " Random Acts of Stupidity " clip they watched. At least as a pretty heavy drinker I could blame about 50% of the dumb shit I have done on the sauce, but that other 50% I have no defense for. And trust me, it was some pretty dumb shit.

My local library had their yearly book clearance sale to get rid of older books and I picked up an assload of Far Side, Bloom County, and Doonesbury collections. I lost all mine years ago in a flood, and have spent a lot of time re-reading them and laughing like a mental patient. I hate to sound like a grouchy old

I really only pay attention to Pearls before Swine and Doonesbury in my local paper currently. All time? Far side, Bloom County, Calvin and Hobbes and Doonesbury.

Current or all time?

I'm wondering if Scott Bakula's character helps Dom open his chicken restaurant he will finally be able to make the leap home…

* Hands E.Buzz Miller the " Obscure Reference of the Year " award *

They apparently get big money from " The Kevin James Anti-Defamation League ".

Damnit! Beat me to the Cagney and Lacey reference!

I hope Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless are up to it.

I stopped eating Doritos after I once found something at the bottom of a bag I had bought that resembled a nugget of dog food. I wondered what it was,and it turned out to be a huge chunk of nacho cheese powder that had somehow formed into a big chunk. The thought of eating that big a chunk of nacho flavoring at one

" I HATE YOU! I WISH YOU WERE DEAD! "
* internet runs to room, slams door, puts on Motley Crue record *

" Hey Internet! Why don't you make like a forest and logoff! "

I always liked Dennis Miller's line, from back when he was funny:
" Whatever doesn't kill you can mess you up really bad, and you'll be lucky if you can ever get it together again. "

We all know that misogyny, like racism, is no longer a thing in the deep south anyway. Do we need to get the Supreme court in on this?

I only wish Leno were still around, he'd have something great for this I bet…

So far, not a single Newswire about Fallon's tonight show has made me think tuning in would be worth doing.

But if it's in the New Yorker, it has to be true! Don't you understand that they are all smarter than any of us?

Don't you like abs?
