Westerns
I'm thinking about buying that TCM Western Adventures DVD. Does anyone know if they usually do a good job with their dvd sets? Obviously TCM is the best, and these 4 movies look great (although I've never heard of TRAIN ROBBERS), but I thought I'd ask before I spent my hard earned dough.

Broken Flowers
Could you look at Broken Flowers as a revision of the romantic comedy the same way Dead Man and this movie are Jaramusch's takes on Westerns and crime fiction?

Batman
Did Bruce Timm do Batman the animated series too? Because man, that was awesome. Is the rest of his stuff worth watching if you're in your 20s?

Absolutely love Brand New. THE DEVIL AND GOD is a superb album that is critically overlooked. They took the pop punk of their first album and turned it on it's head with DEJA ENTENDU, then made a masterpiece with DEVIL AND GOD.

Is an incredible, incredible album. It's what made me think screamo was my favorite kind of music. Then nothing else even came close. Except maybe Silverstein, who actually put out some good (if same sounding) records.

CONOR OBERST is a fantastic record. It's fun in the way his older stuff isn't but is still a collection of great songs.

Blink
I'm really pumped for the new Blink record. The last one was really really good, and Angels &Airwaves and +44, though flawed, at least show a more mature, fleshed out sound. For someone who grew up loving these guys, I can't wait to hear what the new record will sound like.

i'm looking to get into some sandman, but on amazon there's "sandman vols 1-10" and "absolute sandman vols 1-3". Anyone know the difference? Just different collections of the same thing?

I read somewhere that after Pinkerton came out, Rivers freaked out and hated it and tried to buy back all the copies. He wouldn't let anyone look at him before shows.

This episode sucked
