I initially read this as the studio abandoning their principles, by settling an asinine lawsuit, but rereading it suggests that 1) you're reading of the article was correct and 2) movie studios have principles (BURN).

This is everything I love and everything that gives me pause about Community.
Don't get me wrong. I'm totally with you guys on this. I love Community, and this interview reveals the incredible thoughtfulness and intricacy of the writing process behind it.

You should really give them a shot, brother. It's like half surly incomprehensible hardcore and half tuneful indie, with extremely thoughtful lyrics and arrangements. I will inevitably sound prissy, no matter how I describe them, so ignore me. But give "Chemistry of Common Life" a try.
