That's true. I think Blowup is the sort of movie that people like to say that they watched (especially when it first came out, to show that they were with it), but most didn't actually enjoy. It's not a terrible film by any stretch, but it's certainly overrated.

No, no… that was just on a random Thursday…..

He's playing Kingpin as Det. Bobby Goren if his father was Pvt. Pyle, run through when he played Prof. Moriarty that one time on USA. I think he's awesome in the role, and to be honest, even a bad D'Onofrio performance is still pretty great.

Liev actually made her do that, even after filming wrapped.

But..but.. but- Blowup's a classic! You're not wrong- I think it is considered an "important" film because of its place in time in pop culture, bringing a grittier sheen to a film that wasn't being done in the States at that time. It doesn't hold up, TBH, but it gets a pass due to where Western cinema was at that

It owed a lot to Oldboy, but it was so masterfully done (especially with combatants getting thrown into rooms, offcamera, only to reemerge back into the hallway) that I just can't fault it. The ending of it was great too, with Murdock removing his mask to calm the rescued kid, which showed a level of thoughtfulness

Very true. At least it's not going through the identity crisis of the various Punisher books throughout the years. From the older school Romita stories, through the "Angel' lines, to the Ennis reboot, to whatever has been going on between Castle palling around with Spiderman in one iteration, while decimating the

That's only because Hamm takes a hammer to any penises he feels threatened by.

Alright, where is he?

Bill Simmons seems to have it in for him, and throughout his "Big Book of Basketball", asserted that Chamberlain never slept with thousands of women and that he was possibly gay. I'm not getting up in arms over how many women Wilt may or may not have nailed (the 10,000 number was always winked at, like "O RLY"), or

Tour of Duty is back! In Pog form!

Call it the Arli$$ Effect; I forgot that it stuck around until 2002- and I had to look that up. Other than Larry Sanders and OZ, I remember a couple of made-for-HBO movies that were pretty good, but overall until SATC and Sopranos, it was a pretty shallow bench.

BANJO!

That, and its low rent, CBS clone: Vegas. Not a good show by any stretch, but it's always enjoyable to see Chiklis just riffing on Vic Mackey. Vegas has more in line with Crime Story more than anything, but it was thanks to MM and its clones that it made it on air in 2012.

True, though The Americans would have to be considered as an, I don't know, surrogate donor. While it absolutely owes a lot of its makeup to MM, the dreary, dank 80's setting seems to inform the show's DNA, thanks in large part to Philip and Elizabeth's relationship dramas while skating around Cold War touchstones.

Yeah, that one still hurts. I can totally understand FOX (FOX! of all things) for making the decision that it did, while absolutely not agreeing with it. The pilot was one of the finest intros to a show that I had ever seen, and it had quickly and holistically built a world that was already lived-in. It deserved

And drunk. Most of the time.

Are you kidding me?!? This baby is off the charts gahflavin!!

I loved him in Lights Out for playing a bookie that even other denizens in the world of boxing seemed to find particularly unsavory. The sense of menace, by not appearing menacing, could be distilled in the way he always demean Lights Leary by calling him "son" all the time in an offhanded, matter-of-fact way. The
