Maximum Bob reaaally seemed to tap into Florida Man much more than Sysco did.

Just like a white guy to belittle Insecure as "lower profile". You want to know who is low profile? Sam Barsanti.

I'll see your Birthday Cake, and raise you Fireworks (pop rocks infused creme) Oreos. Change your life, bro.

I can't get too broken up about Mark getting killed, since the very first scene we saw him in had him shooting an innocent diner owner who was defending Sarah. He never earned his redemption compared to Helena or even Rachel.

Michael Moore lied to us!

Again, Season 1 did a good job of setting a sense of place with the Keys. Subsequent seasons just used the same 3 shooting locations, and that was it.

Only if you watch the first season, and only the first season. The subsequent seasons have every character who was remotely likable undergo a personality change where they're the fighting to be the worst person in the room, plus a bunch of new characters were added who bring nothing to the table.

The Get Down had some potential, and could've been good (turns out, there's not as big of an audience for throwback music dramas as we were led to believe - see Vinyl).

What, 13 Reasons Why isn't angsty enough for you?

Hey now, Veena Sud is still getting work - I mean, it's mostly DTV at this point, but I'd argue that The Killing moving to Netflix (which nobody watched) helped pave the way for…um…Low Winter Sun guy getting another chance.

He seemed to get legitimate glee from being the triggerman on Wallace- I don't know if it was nerves where he was trying to work himself up to pull the trigger, or he actually wanted to humiliate him before Poot did a mercy and said for him to just do it.

I read that, and thought they were way off. Omar never had that sense of being a "bad guy" the way the Hound was. If anything, he was the prefect distillation of Han Solo and Wolverine- someone who lived the way he wanted to live, didn't go around killing innocents (fuck you Greedo) and did his thing.

Perhaps the closest parallel in modern HBO lore would be the arc of Bodie Broadus: an angry, unrepentant killer who almost seemed to enjoy inflicting pain, only to grow into a man of, if not honor, than one who lived by his own code (he refused to give up any Barksdale associates to McNulty, but had made his peace

Best Lyanna meme that I've found so far: If she had three dragons, the show would be over in two seasons.

Nah, those guys were straight off the cover of Lisa Simpson's copy of Non-Threatening Boys Magazine.

And yet, those crossbowmen from Coldplay are still walking around….

Very Bad Things is the movie for people who lack self-awareness and think they're funny or edgy because "they're just too real."

So Much Killing
