David Brent very much had redeeming qualities. It took him a long time, but he "grew up" and became comfortable with himself (more or less). By the end of that series, you were rooting for Brent. Who can root for Stuart? Or is this Brent all over again?

I'm out. There has to be more to this show then Stuart's desire to be something else (and a shallow something else at that). This has been done to death, perhaps best with Merchant's and Gervais' David Brent. Louis CK does a version of it now though his lout is based on truth vs. insecurity. I don't want to watch this…
