I think it has a much softer, more quiet style than David Milch's dialogue and maybe not as "clever".  There is a tender quality to Daniel that no one in the Deadwood character list really portrayed…but the quality and smarts comparison is very apt as I think Mr. Milch has proven to be inspiring….
