The look on Donovan's face in the Don't Look Back clip is priceless. Kind of like Tessio when he realizes he's not going in the same car as everyone else.

Totally agree. It sounds like Christmas carols being sung by a garbage disposal, although the demented glee of the zydeco "Must Be Santa" is hard not to love.

This is exactly right. I watched the first episode of Work It, hoping for something historically bad. It was no more or less bad than the shows Jay S. mentions.
Damn Right! This and Holmes and Yo-Yo are what I remember him for. Love the recording Frank sends Mary where he finally finds happiness working with the kids at the playground. Just a great great episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
what a nice Christmas surprise that would be.
How can you fail to mention the awesome "Let's Kill Gary Gilmore for Christmas" song from the 1976 episode?
"In the meadow we can build a snowman / One with Gary Gilmore packed inside / We'll ask him, 'Are you dead yet?' He'll say, 'No, man' / But we'll wait out the frostbite till he dies."
I watch both regularly, but I find myself watching The Daily Show with a sense of dread. Not because it isn't funny, but because watching clip after clip, segment after segment, of the ridiculousness of Fox News is disheartening in the extreme.
Stephen Colbert, on the other hand, relies on satire to get his point…
I agree wholeheartedly. "The Chicken Roaster" is easily my favorite late-era Seinfeld.
I appreciated the sign advertising "All Tickets Available" for the Rock Bottom Remainders show. That is the kind of obscure, allusive joke that I have missed in recent Simpsons.
Steve Forbes.
True story. Laura Marling is amazing and beautiful and only 22. Ye gods she is a prodigy.
I want Fairport Conventions's "Farewell, Farewell" played at my funeral.
As someone who is of the B52s' generation (I was 12 when the 1st album came out), I have always been struck by how weird they really are, especially the early stuff. The music is dissonant, the lyrics obtuse. As someone said on this board, "More punk than punk." It's a miracle that they became as big of a success…
I believe Stuart wrote the song explicitly about Isobel Campbell. It came out right after she officially left the band.
Funny thing is
My wife and I ate at the Vegas Craft Steak last year and what was most memorable about the meal was the Jerusalem artichokes. Can't remember what the steak was like, but God those artichokes were amazing.
Leonard is right
This is the weakest episode of the season and maybe the worst overall so far. It started off unfunny and as the show continued I had the sinking feeling that it wasn't getting any better.
