I think calling this a film for The New Cult Canon is a little premature.  It's almost as annoying as movies that are written to try to be cult movies when, really, they just suck (see Zombie Strippers or Bubba Ho-Tep).

I'm really glad the Castles in the Sky retrospective was here in Seattle.  We didn't get this long festival like Chicago gets.  We had to do it all in 2 weeks, most of which was in the first week.  It amounted to at least a movie a day every day, sometimes up to 3.

I also would have liked to have heard more about Bedrooms and Hallways over Proof.  Hugo Weaving as a prissy gay real estate agent who has sex in the expensive and empty houses he's selling?  Way better than Proof.
